Debasish Adhikary is a leading & promissing Tabla player of Farukhabad Gharana in India.Born in a family of musicians,he started playing Tabla at the age of six and received his initial training from his father,Pt Anand Mohan Adhikary,a senior deciple of Ustad Karamat Ullah Khan of Farukhabad Gharana.Later he received training from Ustad Sabir Khan,son of Ustad Karamat Ullah Khan.Also he did his post-graduation in Tabla from Allahbad University.A performer per excellence, Debasish has performed at major Music Festival in India,Swami Haridas Sangeet Sammelan,Mumbai; India International Centre,Delhi; Youth Festival,Delhi; HCL & ICCR Music Festival,Delhi; Governor House,Dehradun;to name a few.Also he is a regular performer at All india Radio/TV of Delhi.
